Day one will focus on the Foundations of Leadership, emphasizing leadership styles and personal resilience. The day begins with an introduction session, where staff provide an overview of the agenda and set expectations for the days ahead. This is followed by an on-field, physically intensive leadership workshop led by former Navy Seal Mike Burns and other leadership, guiding athletes through personality assessments and group exercises to identify their leadership strengths. The evening includes a 90-minute individual skill-based training session with The Players Academy Staff, a reflection session to reinforce leadership lessons, and recovery opportunities at the hotel with ice baths, Normatecs, and other recovery tools.
Day two will focus on navigating life as a collegiate athlete, emphasizing the balance between academics, athletics, and personal success. The day begins with athletes being addressed by former Division 1 athletes turned successful businessmen, Sol Kumin and Scott Stuber, followed by a hybrid on-field training session that includes positional work and small-sided transition games with The Players Academy staff, followed by a panel over lunch with the leadership directors. In the afternoon, athletes will engage in workshops with Sports Psychologist Dr. T, and NIL and Branding Director Gene Daniels. The day concludes with a hyper competitive on field training session that builds up into 6v6 scrimmages, separating players into teams as they prepare for the final day of full, four quarter games.
Day three will focus on Leadership Beyond the Field, emphasizing life after lacrosse and the importance of giving back. The day begins with a final on-field competition, where athletes break into teams and compete in two full games. Following the games and a panel with the Players Academy Staff over lunch, participants will engage in position specific breakout sessions with positional directors, followed by a closing keynote on leadership, impact, and legacy delivered by the leadership staff. The program will conclude with an awards ceremony, where positional awards and character awards will be distributed to athletes.
